What I really want to know is how many shares (in % term of daily trading volume) are traded by institutions and why are they trading that many? Aren't they long term investors? Who else is trading and represent how many % of daily average volume?
This is from a website about the stock market crash of 1929:
"For every dollar invested, a margin user would borrow 9 dollars worth of stock. Because of this leverage, if a stock went up 1%, the investor would make 10%! "
I don't understand how the 10% profit was made.

On the tapco intrafuse stock for the sks, there's a rail on the handguard, just in front of the rear sight. Does this get in the way of the sights? If so I'll buy one of those ventelated steel replacements, so not a big deal. I've arrangd to pick the rifle up on Saturday, and I'll buy the handguard( if nececarry today)

I have to do a school project where I invest $25,000 of fake money into 5 companies. I've picked which ones I want to invest in, however I don't exactly know how to "buy" them..Or what am I buying, stocks or shares? Is it possible to invest $5000 into each company? Helllllp!
